Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Silver Jewellery House is a retail jewellery business trading from G. N Jewellery Centre, Faisalabad, 38000, Pakistan. We sell 925 sterling silver rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings over the counter and to order by telephone and email, with delivery across Pakistan.
In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Silver Jewellery House. “You” means anyone who visits this website, contacts us, buys from us, or asks us about a piece. We decide why and how your personal information is used, and we are responsible for it.

2. What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to this website, to orders and enquiries by telephone or email, and to purchases made at our counter in Faisalabad.
It does not apply to other websites we may link to. If you follow a link away from this site, that website's own privacy policy governs what it does with your information.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you give us
- Enquiry and order details — your name, telephone number, email address, and the piece, size, length or gauge you are asking about.
- Delivery details — the delivery address, the recipient's name and a contact number for the courier, where an order is being sent rather than collected.
- Payment information — the payment method used and a record that payment was made. Where you pay by bank transfer we see the transfer reference and the name on the account. Where you pay cash on delivery, the courier collects the money and confirms receipt to us.
- Bespoke and repair instructions — sizing, engraving text, stone preferences and any notes needed to complete work you have asked for.
- Newsletter sign-up — your email address, if you enter it in the form in the footer of this site.
- Correspondence — the content of emails, messages and notes of telephone calls where these relate to an order, a repair or a complaint.
3.2 Information we do not collect
We do not take or store card numbers, CVV codes or online banking credentials on this website. This site has no checkout and no payment processing: it is a catalogue, and every purchase is completed at the counter, by bank transfer, or as cash on delivery.
We do not operate accounts on social media platforms and this site contains no social media buttons, embeds or tracking pixels of any kind.
3.3 Information collected automatically
Our web host records standard server log information when a page is requested: the IP address making the request, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page and the browser and operating system reported. These logs are used to keep the site running and to investigate errors and abuse. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not combined with your order records.
4. How we use your information
We use personal information only for the purposes below.
- To answer enquiries — to confirm whether a piece is in stock, what it weighs, what it costs and how soon it can be ready.
- To fulfil orders — to prepare, size, engrave, pack, dispatch and deliver what you have bought, and to keep you informed while that happens.
- To take and record payment — including reconciling bank transfers and cash-on-delivery remittances from the courier.
- To keep accounts and tax records — invoices, sales records and other documents we are required to keep.
- To handle returns, exchanges, resizing and repairs — which requires us to look up the original sale.
- To send you new-arrival emails — only if you asked for them, and only until you tell us to stop.
- To protect the business — to prevent and investigate fraud, non-payment, theft and misuse of this website, and to establish or defend legal claims.
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent, trade or otherwise make it available to third parties for their own marketing.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as there is a reason to hold it.
- Enquiries that do not become orders — up to twelve months, then deleted.
- Order, delivery and payment records — for as long as needed to service the sale, and thereafter for the period our tax and accounting obligations require. Where that period is unclear we keep them for six years from the end of the financial year of the sale.
- Repair, resizing and engraving instructions — three years, so that follow-up work can be matched to the original piece.
- Newsletter subscriptions — until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a minimal record of the unsubscribe so that we do not email you again by mistake.
- Correspondence about a complaint or dispute — until the matter is closed and any period for bringing a claim has passed.
- Server logs — held by our host for a short rolling period, typically no more than ninety days.
When a retention period ends we delete the information or, where deletion is impractical, put it beyond use.
8. How we protect information
This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Order records and correspondence are kept in accounts protected by passwords that are not shared, on devices that are locked when unattended. Paper records, where they exist, are kept at the shop premises and are not taken off site.
Access is limited to the people who need it to serve you — in practice, the counter staff and the owner. We do not keep payment card details, which removes the most sensitive category of information from our systems entirely.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will tell you what happened, what information was involved and what we are doing about it, as promptly as we reasonably can.
9. Your choices and requests
Whatever the position under statute at any given time, we will honour the following requests as a matter of our own policy:
- Ask what we hold — we will tell you what personal information about you we hold and what we use it for.
- Ask for a copy — we will provide a copy in a readable form.
- Ask us to correct it — if something is wrong or out of date, we will fix it.
- Ask us to delete it — we will delete what we are not required to keep. We will say plainly which records we must retain and why, most often tax and accounting records.
- Ask us to stop marketing — we will stop immediately, with no need to give a reason.
- Object to a particular use — tell us what you object to and we will either stop or explain why we cannot.
Write to info@silverjewelleryhouse.pk or call +92 41 258 6317. We aim to respond within fourteen days and will not charge you for a reasonable request.
So that we do not disclose your information to somebody else, we may ask you to confirm a detail only you and we would know — for example an invoice number, the date of a purchase or the description of a piece. We ask for that in preference to a copy of an identity document, and we do not keep copies of identity documents.
10. Marketing emails
We send new-arrival emails only to addresses that were entered into the sign-up form on this site, and no more than about twice a month. Every message carries an unsubscribe instruction, and replying with the word “stop” has the same effect.
Buying from us does not add you to the list. We do not buy email lists, and we do not pass your address to anyone else for their marketing.
11. Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16, and the newsletter is not directed at them. Where a piece is bought as a gift for a child, we deal with the adult purchaser and hold no information about the recipient beyond a first name if one is needed for engraving. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
12. Information held outside Pakistan
Our shop records are held in Pakistan. Some of the services we rely on — website hosting, email and the font service described in section 5 — may store or process information on servers in other countries. Where that happens, we choose providers that offer recognised security standards and contractual confidentiality commitments.
If you would prefer that we deal with you only by telephone and in person, so that nothing about you passes through an overseas service, tell us and we will do that.
13. Legal position in Pakistan
We should be straightforward about the legal background. At the time of writing, Pakistan does not have a single comprehensive data protection statute in force of the kind found in some other jurisdictions; a Personal Data Protection Bill has been under consideration for several years but is not in force as a general data protection law. The Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 does make unauthorised access to, and misuse of, information systems and data an offence.
The commitments in this policy are therefore given by us voluntarily, as a matter of how we intend to run the business, and we consider ourselves bound by them. If a comprehensive data protection law comes into force in Pakistan, we will review this policy against it and comply with whatever it requires.
This policy is written to be read plainly and is not legal advice. If your circumstances call for a formal legal position, please raise it with us in writing.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when what we do changes, or when the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Where a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will make that clear rather than relying on a silent update, and where we hold your email address for marketing we will tell you directly.
15. How to contact us

If you are not satisfied with our answer, say so and we will look at it again ourselves before you need to take it further.
16. Terms of sale
16.1 Prices and currency
All prices shown on this site are in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise at the counter. Silver is a traded metal, so prices for made-to-order and by-weight pieces are confirmed on the day of order and may differ from the catalogue figure. The price we confirm to you in writing or at the counter is the price you pay.
16.2 The catalogue
The pieces shown on this site are our regular stock lines. Photography and illustration show the design; the piece you receive is made of the metal and to the specification described, but hand-finishing means small variations in polish, weight and stone placement are normal and are not defects. A piece being shown here is not a guarantee that it is in the case on a given day — call or email and we will confirm.
16.3 Metal and marking
Everything we sell as sterling silver is 925 silver and is stamped 925. Chains, clasps and findings supplied with a piece are silver unless we tell you otherwise in writing before you buy. Stones described as CZ are cubic zirconia and are not diamonds; pearls described as freshwater are cultured freshwater pearls. Weights are given to the nearest tenth of a gram and are weighed in front of you on request.
16.4 Ordering and payment
An order is accepted when we confirm it to you by telephone or email. We accept cash and bank transfer at the counter, and cash on delivery for orders sent by courier. Made-to-order, engraved and resized work is put in hand once payment or an agreed deposit is received.
16.5 Delivery
We deliver across Pakistan. Delivery is free on orders over PKR 5,000; below that a courier charge is quoted before the order is confirmed. Orders are normally dispatched within one to two working days, and orders placed after 18:00 are dispatched the next working day. Delivery timescales given by the courier are estimates, not guarantees. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address you gave us.
16.6 Returns and exchanges
If a piece is not right, return it within seven days of receipt, unworn, undamaged and with its bill, and we will exchange it or refund it. Refunds are made by the method you paid. This does not apply to pieces that were engraved, made to order or altered to your specification, which cannot be resold and are not returnable unless faulty.
16.7 Faults
If a piece fails through a fault in the metal, the setting or the workmanship within twelve months of purchase, bring or send it back with the bill and we will repair it or replace it at no charge. This does not cover ordinary wear, scratching, tarnish, bending from impact, stones lost through knocks, or damage from chemicals, perfume or chlorine.
16.8 Resizing, engraving and care
Ring resizing is free within thirty days of purchase where the design allows it; after that it is charged for. Engraving is charged by the character and cannot be undone. Silver tarnishes with air and skin; clean it with a silver cloth, keep it dry and store it away from open air. We re-polish pieces bought from us at the counter as a courtesy.
16.9 Liability
Our liability in connection with any piece is limited to repairing it, replacing it or refunding what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
16.10 Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts at Faisalabad have jurisdiction. We would much rather settle any disagreement by talking to you first — call the shop and ask for the owner.
